When and where is Corkless Galena held?
Corkless Galena takes place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 11am to 6pm at Depot Park in Galena, Illinois.

 

What is Corkless Galena?
Corkless Galena is a vibrant, one-day wine festival celebrating Illinois wine, music, art, and community. The event features seven exceptional wineries, live music, local art, and delicious food vendors in the scenic setting of historic Galena.

 

How do I get tickets?
Tickets are available for purchase on Evenbrite. Tickets are also available the day of the event, but will cost more. Advance purchase is recommended.

What does my ticket include?
Your ticket grants you entry to the festival, access to wine tastings from all participating wineries, and the opportunity to enjoy live music, art exhibits, and food vendors. Please check the Corkless Galena website for specific details on tasting glass or pour limits, if any.

 

Are children allowed at the event?
Corkless Galena is a family-friendly event, but you must be 21 or older to sample or purchase wine. Please bring a valid photo ID for age verification.

 

Can I bring my own food or beverages?
No outside alcohol is permitted at Corkless Galena. However, you are welcome to bring a small cooler with unopened bottled water and snacks. There will also be a variety of food vendors on site offering delicious options to pair with your wine.

 

Can I bring shade devices?
Yes! Attendees are encouraged to bring devices for shade, such as umbrellas or small pop-up tents, to stay comfortable throughout the day. Please be considerate of your fellow guests when setting up any shade structures.

 

Is the event rain or shine?
Yes, Corkless Galena is held rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather and consider bringing shade or rain protection.

Are pets allowed?
For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted at the festival, except for service animals.

 

Is there parking available?
Parking is available near Depot Park. Please follow event signage and directions from event staff upon arrival.

 

Can I purchase bottles of wine at the event?
Yes! Participating wineries will have bottles available for purchase to enjoy onsite or to take home. Please note that open containers are not permitted outside the designated festival area.

 

Will there be seating?
Limited seating may be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the music and atmosphere comfortably.

 

Is there live entertainment?
Absolutely! Corkless Galena features live music throughout the day, as well as local art displays and other entertainment.

 

Who organizes Corkless Galena?
The event is presented by the Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to supporting Illinois’ wine industry, and the Northern Illinois Winegrowers Association.
