Galena is one of the most beautiful places in the country — and on the third Saturday in June, it gets even better! The Great Galena Balloon Race is filling the skies, the town is alive with things to do, and right in the middle of it all, Illinois wine shows up at Depot Park to make a great weekend unforgettable.

Illinois wineries bring their full lineups to Corkless Galena — reds, whites, rosés, bubbly, and more — and the people making those wines are right there at the tables with you. Ask questions, taste widely, find something you want to take home. Additional tasting tickets are available on-site if you  if you really want to explore!

Live music sets the pace throughout the day. Between pours, there's local art to browse and food vendors to keep you fueled. The park sits along the Galena River — open air, room to spread out, no reason to rush.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and make a day of it.
